Celebrating 70 years of everybody’s favourite red and black striped mischief-maker, the Royal Mail released a set of 6 stamps depicting pivotal moments in Dennis’s colourful, or in the initial years black and white, life.
Our design reflected the grid-like nature of children’s comics and were each painstakingly crafted to reflect the print quality of the time, even the ‘white’ of the paper they were printed on gets brighter as the images become more contemporary.
A specially commissioned ‘Happy Birthday’ image featured on the mini-sheet, this formed the final frame of a comic strip shown on the inside of the pack and contained four stamps within it.
